Back in mid-June I got up early to drive downstate for a fishing get together with my BIL and nephew. I was 2 hours from home and ½ hour from my destination when I stopped for a bite of fast food breakfast. Got to the window to pay and discovered that the only thing I had transferred from my old pants to my new ones was my belt. No wallet, no knife, no keys (I keep a set in my truck, that's why I didn't catch on when I left home). No wallet meant no CC's, cash, fishing license and no CPL to cover the multiple handguns I had in the truck.
Felt naked the whole day, but I had a great time and made it home without a problem.
I hope yours turns up for you, Tikka.

I ain't gonna say a word about you knuckleheads who can't keep up with keys and a wallet.
It would be hypocritical.

Had to cancel a flight because I lost my wallet two days before I was supposed to leave. I found it two months later.

You didn't misplace it. You just can't remember what you did with it or where you put it. It sign that your getting to be an old fokk like the rest of us.mb

I misplaced mine for a few hours yesterday. It was driving me nuts! My wife told me to run up to the office and look, so I did. I found it in a file cabinet. No idea why or how, but it was there!

A friend of mine found a wallet in a store a couple of months ago and she gave it to one of the employees working there. About 10 minutes later a guy came running in looking for it. Employee matched him to the DL and returned it to him. I told my friend she has some good karma coming to her for doing that.

Ohhhhhhh A 'Yota key Only has like 300,000 miles on it, I’m pretty sure the wallet does too. That’s the same one mailed home nine years back, and it was already old then.

Loose back pocket. Got my first check cased after starting practice in Lufkin with an established Dr. Put most cash in wallet
Went squirrel hunting in Angelina Nat Forest.w uncle.
Never been there before. Came out on road near dark a mile from uncles truck. Wearing cheap.camo coveralls and caught a ride w 2 other hunters, sitting on pickup bed siding.
Uncle and i started home, dark. No wallet. Searched the road. O.
Came back next day and hunted for an hour to find where i had lain on my back at base of a big pine to shoot straight up at a squirrel sitting on a limb straight above, dropping pine cone seeds. Couldnt get a shot with the 22 through the thicket branches if i moved away from the tree..
Found the tree and looked up to get straight below the shot limb. Looked down and around. 0.
Stepped back as it was under my boot almost covered by a big redoak leaf.
One mo hapoy SOB.
Hope you get happy to. Tikka

I always wear a hat, and when I come in from outside, I empty my pockets into my hat. Keys, wallet, sometimes change. Never have lost a wallet because of doing things that way. You just gotta get a good routine going, and stick with it. Always. Never deviate.
It's worked for me for all these years.

This is what happened to me about noon yesterday. Got home at 3 AM, passed out in the couch and when I got up I couldn't find my glasses. On the floor in front of a chair 10' from the couch. One of these days I need to grow up.

I carry two wallets and two sets of keys and almost always wear Duluth Firehose cargo pants with Velcro back and side pockets. Both wallets have money and credit cards but the bigger one always has over $1000 in cash and the other one maybe $300 TO $400. The smaller one has all the important stuff like my favored Credit Card, retired LEO commission that gives me concealed carry rights in every state, DL, Lifetime hunting and fishing lic., senior passes at U.S. Nat. parks, etc..
Well, lo and behold I had 2 front tractor tires and a truck tire repaired the other day at Mohammed's tire shop and when I went to pay him his $50 my big wallet was missing. I was positive that the little helper Mustafa had caught me bent over unscrewing a lug nut and pickpocketed me. My lovely bride was home and couldn't locate it. Well, I wrote off the money and told her to get very busy stopping credit cards and notifying the bank of a few blank checks had gotten away also.
Bless our hearts it surfaced on our very unkempt bar while I was outside going through the trash piece by piece. My wife came to the door with it. No banks had been yet notified.
