Anyone besides me having problem getting this stuff to shoot acccurately? when I got rifle from friend would shoot winchester hp in 1/2 at 100 , lightened trigger. and tried the federals get about 3" groups now. Have seen some reviews with similiar results.

Might be as simple as a poor chamber fit in that rifle. Might be a star in something else, or not…..

Have you shot the Winchesters since you lightened the trigger and what grain were they? Some 22 magnums just don't like stuff on the light or heavy end of the spectrum.

If I had a 22 mag that shot anything into .5" at 100 I'd be a grinnin SOB.

Does the Winchester still shoot well? If so, it’s one of those deals where that rifle just doesn’t like the Federal load.

I suspect that the .5 group at 100 yards was a "one time" event. I doubt that it occurred on demand or even somewhat near consistently, it was more than likely one of those billfold groups that most shooters carry around.

I haven't had good luck with most of the Federal TNT stuff in rimfire, either in 22 cal or 17 Cal, at least in the accuracy dept.

This^^^ Probably a typo on the OP's part. Although, this is the internet. However, you'd think anyone that has shot rimfire knows ammo makes all the difference in the world. Even different lots of the same ammo shoots differently. That is with most rimfire ammo that I've seen. Hence the reason when we find something that shoots well, stock up on that lot.

I also agree with what drover said.

My 10/22 mag loves the 30 grain polymer tip stuff.
