Specs say direct fit for a Shield footprint. The sight says RMSc which is the compact version of the Shield. Hole spacing is the same so the sight should fit the gun.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

What had me a bit confused was the Shield to RPSc. It's a new language to me, and with them calling it two different things, I didn't know. Thank you.

Be prepared to scrounge for screws that fit, depending on the sight maker. I had to cobble together a set for my S&W 5.7, then called the sight maker who promptly sent out a set. This was for a HOLOSUN HS507K-X2.
Go easy on that screwdriver!
I would call PSA and get some recommendations for suitable sights. Their pistol, so they should know.
What fresh Hell is this?

Alright folks, I got the gun in and looked at the footprint. PSA calls this a "Shield" footprint. The specs for the above Riton Optic say that it fits a Shield RMSc Type Footprint Are there different Shield footprints, because when I look up a Shield RMSc footprint, it looks nothing like the footprint on my gun. https://www.optics-trade.eu/blog/shield-rmsc-footprint/What gives?

I can't help with that one.
I'll say this, the whole RDS industry foot print mounting thing is a cluster.

When it says Shield footprint, there is just 1 style. I prefer RMR footprint, but it's apples and oranges. It is nice that Riton sees the need and makes Red dots with both footprints. The 3 Tactix MPRD is made with a Shield Foot print. https://ritonoptics.com/product/3-tactix-mprd/

The optic has 4 round sockets to accommodate 4 posts on the slide. As you can see, my slide only has 2 posts and they aren't round.

The Riton MPRD arrived today. It bolted right up. Without the mounting screws, there is some play given the shape of the posts on the slide, but I don't think it's an issue.
These optics are $99 at CDNN.
