99 percent it’s none poisonous, solid back, didn’t look like cottonmouth, I’ve hand snakes bump my head riding horse back before, will make you flip off horse when you see that flipping tongue.

I wouldn’t think I’d hear such twice in a lifetime. I know of a EOD troop in Panama that got bit in the nose by a wild boa except it was because he claimed he was good with snakes and tried to kiss it. Funny as hell !

Looks like a small Black Snake to me. Nonvenomous, but they’re belligerent phuqers sometimes. I see quite a few around barns and corn cribs. I don’t mess with them, but if they get pissy with me, I’ll dispatch them with a shovel! I don’t have a fear of snakes like some people, but I’m only live and let live to a point. 7mm

If you bite the snake and if you get sick or die the snake was poisonous. If it bites you and you get sick or die it was venomous. Doesn't appear to be venomous to me. But without knowing a bite to the head from a venomous snake could be pretty serious. I think a lot of people would be pretty freaked out until they knew.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
