Cast iron crustless quiche. That's a 12" pan, feeding some folks tonight. Cornbread in the oven about to come out. Honey butter already mixed. Basil, peach, prosciutto & balsamic glaze, warmed slightly on the grill, Marty !
Flavour bomb, everything plays of the others. Excellent. We have 3 big bushes of basil and she bought a basket of peaches (our tree isn’t ready yet). I’ll grab some prosciutto tomorrow and make up a fancy dinner for her and SD24 before they head Europe Friday. SD24 is going to Romania for abdominal surgery at a private clinic that she’d have to wait 3 years for under our “free” health care system

I made a pot of sauce a week ago. We have our son, DIL and a buddy of his coming in a couple of weeks. She made a large tray of lasagna for when the arrive and two little "tubs" for us. One is in the oven as I type.

Now, if only I could get fresh figs ! Wish you were closer. My tree we harvest from but I simply feel we do nothing but feed the javelinas, coyotes, rabbits, wasps, and every other thing that lives in the desert this time of the year. Good thing is critters despise citrus so that's going for me....
