Corgi’s are extremely smart dog breeds.
Pembroke is the Queens dogs, usually tail less.
Cardigan is a longer, mostly bigger Corgi with their tails usually intact. Both are very personable, intelligent, and stubborn. Start taking her for car rides now, and she will always be a great traveler. Get her on your schedule, so she gets used to it, at an early age, so there will be no attitude issues. They all have distinctly different personalities. I’ve had them for 25 years

Thank goodness our latest Rez puppy doesn't shed a bit(Great Dane and Lab mix....).....lol With two Labs in the house I went ahead and bought stock in several vacuum manufacturers! Congrats Rooster, I'm sure the Corgi will be a great owner!

Same thing happening here.
We adopted a 4- month old Basset-Lab mix from a rescue organization. They shipped him up from Alabama and we brought him home last Saturday.
Wife wasn't sold on the idea and made it clear that he is to be "my" dog.
Well, he curled up on her lap and slept during the hour ride home.
So much for being "my" dog!

So much for being "my" dog! My wife wants this to be "her" dog because our labs of the past have always been "my" dogs. Now I'm "training the trainer," so to speak, on how to make it her dog. So far its going great! Whenever the dog has to go out, I say "that's how you bond with her, honey." lol

Corgis are great little dogs but you will learn to watch where you are going. I have tripped over more Corgis than all other dogs combined. They are short and stout. She looks like a dandy and you won the pup lottery. Congratulations.
