We’re about to kick off our annual run sales for our Boy Scout troop in about 6 weeks. I coordinate all of it and I’ve made my own rub the last few years. In an effort to save some time do any of you know of a really good rub that’s available in bulk? I’ll need 30+ pounds. We’ll be using it on ribs and pork butt. Last year we cooked 350 racks in about 24 hours.

Hit up the Restaurant Stores. They sell spices in bulk. Years ago I got local Sysco rep to provide to our yearly church festival products at cost ran through #100+ pounds of seasonings over the three days. Just put up their banner near Food booths. Helped he was a member of our church.

A store bought rub i like is the Bad Byron’ Butt Rub.

Get it at Sams club.

Comes in the larger spice container.

Also, Bodacious bbq rub.

Make your own rub. You can buy black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, coarse salt, cumin, allspice, celery seed in large sizes at Wally world.

Done this the last several years. Not as cheap or money saving as you’d think.

First place I hit, Ed. I just didn’t know if anyone had a lead on something that I may not be aware of. I’ll probably end up using Head Country rub this year and just add some brown sugar.
