Just FYI . Ammo Shop Online has Norma .308 Win with the 180gr Swift A Frame for $25 per box. Free shipping if you buy enough. This strikes me as a good load for heavy game in the 308. The site is legit as mine just arrived. $25 is far less than the cost of the components.

That's worth buying a 308 just to stock up for 25 bucks a box!

Funny you should say that. 🤔

Dang, that's close enough when you throw in the shipping to buy a bunch just to pull the bullets!

It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.

If’n I’s gonna shoot 180’s I’d move up to the 358.

I would imagine 180 Swifts at 2600 would work for a few hundred yards, if they shoot.

Damn, the cost of the component bullets alone is typically upward of $1.50 apiece.

Anybody shoot any of these yet? Curious how they do accuracy wise and chrono speed.

Just ‘cause you asked, I just stepped out back and shot one over the chronograph. It read 2565 at 15ft from a 22in barreled Rem 788. Yea, I know one shot doesn’t tell the story. But that’s all I felt like burning today.

Seems like that load would do a bunch of things pretty well.

Thank you sir. I have a good Nosler 180 Protected Point load worked up, I was wondering how these would compare. Might have to break down and buy some. Thanks again!

I agree! I'd be able to get along with that load pretty well.

I went ahead and ordered some. Hope it’s as good as their whitetail line from an accuracy standpoint. Very impressed with that stuff, but with an Alaskan black bear hunt this fall and possible elk next year, I figured a factory offering 180 grain premium bullet at that price is too tough to pass up. Thanks for the heads up.

I bought some as well. Fast shipping. They’re GTG

As a side note, Norma has the nicest shell holders for factory ammo of any I’ve ever seen.

Raven Rock is offering the same deal ($24.99 per box for 10 boxes, tax included). I just ordered 10 boxes.

Should work great for hogs.

Wish they'd offer this deal for a-frames in 06. 😑

I got a handful of them. Pretty good ammo to have for the price.

This is the first time I can remember being tempted to buy factory rifle ammo! Too bad shipping to AK is such a near impossibility.

Norma makes a 308/150 soft-point load that has an Elk on the box. Both of my Sig Cross rifles LOVE that load. I was able to buy it recently for $13 per box. Pretty hard to pass up.
