I have about a bag and a half of layer feed that is extra to my needs. I could throw it out for deer to eat if they would, or put it in a bird feeder for the common birds. I'm not sure if either one would eat it, but I worry about if it would do harm to deer? I hate to just throw it away.

It won't hurt the deer if they'll eat it.

Something will enjoy it.

I have chickens, and I believe I'm feeding the half the birds in the area, as they love chicken feed.

Pellets or crumble? I suspect either will turn to mud if it gets wet.

Try your local 4H office. Usually through your cooperative extension service.
