Classic target rifle here, that will shoot right along with any Remington model 37 or Winchester 52 or Stevens 416

Oh my! This is really tempting. Any chance it uses same magazines as the 452/455/457s ?

But with forged and machined parts instead of the stamped and cast parts of the 452, the way they did it in the old days.
As I recall the muzzle has a typical recessed target crown.

I disagree, I think the BRNO is the most accurate of these three rifles.

Growing up in Canada, my shooting club had all the rifles mentioned above.

In the decades since then, I've shot lots of Winchester 52's (old and new), but only one additional Rem 37, and only two Savage 416's.

Based on my experience, I'd say that the BRNO's were the most accurate. Certainly they were the least finicky about ammo (and of this I have little doubt, having dealt with *MANY* BRNO rifles). NOTE: I am talking about real BRNO rifles, not CZ even if their parts do interchange!

I've repeatedly heard that their fine accuracy with many kinds of ammo (even cheap stuff) is attributable to BRNO's having a slightly tapered bore. I don't know if this is true for a fact though.

I would by this rifle right now myself if I wasn't on the other side of the Atlantic and getting an export permit from the USA so difficult and expensive. :-(

Anyway, CZNUT, I think you are going to regret parting with this one!

I used to live in the 'States so I know how rare BRNO are there (a result of the American Iron curtain import policy back during the cold war).

And, I think your price is too low! smile

John
