Hi all,
Thought I would post pics and specs of my new toy. I work part time with Tim McWhorter of McWhorter Custom Rifles and he helped me put this one together for my recent Texas trip. I call it the Texas Twister.

LH Long action Rem 700 chambered in 270 WBY
Bolt handle drilled (yours truly) and fluted
Jewell Trigger
McMillan BDL stock 60% black 20% tan 20% white
Marinetex bedded with pillars
All metal Duracoated
Sako extractor
Pinned recoil lug
Talley Bases and rings, screw holes retapped to 8-40's
24 inch #4 Spiral Fluted Hart Barrel with brake
Kahles 3x10x50mm American Hunter

Funny you should say that, it did the same thing to me when i was spraying the duracoat. Between the fluting looking like it was moving and the fumes, it had me dizzy as hell

I like the stock, but you put the bolt on backwards. I do not know if you noticed. It goes on the other side.

Cool rig, you did a nice job

Cool rig!! That barrel looks big for a #4, how much does she weigh? How does it shoot?

Thanks for the compliments. It will shoot 1/2" with 140 grain Accubonds and Vit N560. All Tim's rifles carry a 1/2" gurantee. I would have to weigh it to be sure. Its not a light rifle for sure, but it balances well and I prefer a medium weight rifle over a real light one.

Isn't the rifling supposed to be on the inside?
