Ankeny 2" and Winterset 2". We must not be living right.

The heat has been oppressive here lately, so not getting as much outdoors time as I like. I brought the sun up with me on a bicycle a 35 mile ride Saturday and Sunday morning.

We might have gotten 10". Our neighbor has a rain gauge that goes to 5.5". It was over flowing so he dumped it out and we got 2.5" more. Some people with big gauges got 10" . 2" would have been awesome. Whatever we got was not awesome.

Perfect, in every way !

The dark wispy clouds at the top of the photo are really flocks of Sandhill Cranes heading south out of Nebraska.

Life on the Caspian Sea was pure pleasure.

It was a joy to see the Caspian seals emerge.

Bought some fuuuked up long beard shells at the PX earlier today.
Been using LB shells since 2015.
Never have had this problem before.

4 of them are distinctly out of round per the plastic body.
Pretty sure it is petal overlap of the shot cup.
Each shot cup has 4 petals.
Very pronounced ridge starting small by the brass and expanding more on the increasing angle of the petal overlap to the end of the shell.
Can feel hard spot on the 2 petals overlapping and a soft spot/gap of flex in the body of the shell where it has space between the petal under the other.

Just kinda strikes me as a big binding issue in the choke.
Wad failure issues. Have had that with LB shells in the past.
Shot column issues.
Wandering pattern issues ( see wad failure issues)

Just want Olin to exchange the box and pay for the shipping.

Left like 4 or 5 msgs to Olin customer service.
Tried 3 to do their online form.
Access denied x 3 trying to submit.
Did a bunch of Google fu surfing.
On some shotgun forum circa 2015.
Guys were talking about a lady at Winchester ammo/ Olin who is the problem solver per ammo issues.
4 or 5 page thread
One dude had her email at Winchester/ Olin.👍🏻🤘👍🏻

Sent her a email.
Got response from her within 20 mins.

On vacation returns to work on the 14th.
Gonna solve my problem then.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We need to see a video of this please!

I'll get some next week at the lake. I had two kids that had not shot before along and wasn't able to mess around with video.

Next week it'll just be me and my son.

I have not as yet delved into the 3d printing of projectiles that would/could, in theory (if filled with stuff that burns or bangs), run me afoul of federal destructive devices law.

I do need more blanks though. 😁

I'm at a total of 731 bucks including tax into it now.
Comp brake and furniture cost.
Little mods done on the furniture for functionality to me and eye appeal.
The magpul fixed carbine buttstock is solid as a rock and really nice nose to charging handle fit for me.
I'm 5' 11" so waay taller guys might not be a good stock for them.

They do make a .80" inch PRS buttpad that fits on it.
And some other magpul model buttpad also, but I don't offhand remember the name.
Some like tip of nose to charging handle, some dont.

And it is a accurate wpn with the frontier M193 which is cool.

Pretty much on hold to complete for the Elf trigger and a optic till after deer season.
Looking at a total budget of 1200 to 1250 into it.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

LMFAO!!!
These 2 homemade slingshots confiscated from a couple of prick Iraqi kids winging ball bearings at us on patrols for a couple of days straight.
Was the talk of the town back at the platoon outpost at the train station among the 3 sqds.
Word spread of course to the other 2 platoons behind city hall.
Comedy at our exspense per the slingshot kids.
🤦‍♂️🤣🤦‍♂️
Man the Iraqi,s in that neighborhood lit up them 2 fugga,s azz,s up with their sandal shoes when we and some ticked off people in that neighborhood set em up and caught the little prick,s finally about day 3.

Some little fugga,s from another tribal clan neighborhood somewhere in the old city north of Ninevah Bridge road.

Iraqi,s don't like that schit per other clans causing them problems.
🤣🤣🤣

Anyways these slingshots got more cred than anything a sockpuppet or poser/ combo of both has hung up on this thread " pics or it never happened" wise...
🤣🤣🤣
