Haven’t posted in a long long while. Picked up this 1971 Ruger M77 in .250 Savage. Paid 700 Canadian and he threw in all the ammo as well. Good looking rifle and a hell of a deal.
I've been half eyeing a 700 Classic (with box) for a while now. Asking price is 850.00 ish, feel that's a good deal but hoping it sits a while longer and I can pick it up for much less.

Sounds like you got steal on a beautiful rifle.
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Not to block the enthusiasm but as a fellow 250 Savage lover, I ask: Can you imagine where this cartridge would be today if only the ammunition manufacturers had produced a +P offering just loaded to the same levels as the .243 Win? If I carry one rifle to my grave, it will be one of my 250 Savages.

Very good deal on the rifle. With the scope and ammo thrown in, a fantastic deal. Congrats! It's a really nice cartridge.

You are missing out not shooting that RSI. I have one a d loaded with 117 grain round nose bullets it is a deer slaying machine.
Life is too short to hunt with ugly guns.
