Shopping for a 2 gun hard case for my son. It will be used for airline travel this fall but he's not as passionate about hunting as I am so it may not be used again. So I'm trying to keep the price down but it needs to be sturdy. Has anyone used the Browning Bruiser Pro Double Gun Hard Gun Case? I found one on closeout. Any other recommendations?

Buy a Pelican Gun Vault and then sell it next year if you don't still need it. I've got one and will probably buy another. I pack lots of stuff in there with my guns.

Harbor Freight has a pretty decent one that sounds perfect for your situation. They go on sale occasionally, and when they do they are about a quarter of the price of a Pelican with 90 percent of the funcionality.

I've used a SKB case for many years every year. No complaints.

Since I generally only take a single rifle and handgun, I probably should’ve bought one size smaller. It’s hell for stout, but damned heavy.

I have a Pelican 1750 case. The liner's already cut for my rifle, bino's, RF and ammo. I could get another liner and put the 2 rifles in it but would need another case for bino's etc.
Going to take a ride to Harbor Freight today.

The Apache case is nice! Unfortunately, it was on sale last month and is $169.98 now. Still a good price but they have some large pistol or equipment cases also that would work for our optics and other small items. Going to try Cabela's tomorrow

No cases at Cabela's I was interested in. I ordered the Browning Bruiser Pro hard case for $100 after calling Browning customer service. The guy I spoke with was familiar with the case which was discontinued in 2021. He said it weighs 20 lbs and is a rugged double walled case. MSRP was $272.99. It should be fine but is returnable if I'm not satisfied.
Thanks for the input on this guys!
Bill

Another vote for the Pelican gun vault. Of all the hard, soft and in-between gun cases I have, the Pelicans are my favorite and most trusted.

I got a Nanuk for a recent flight/trip. Very pleased. Made in Canada.

I, too, recommend the Pelican Gun Vaults. I have three that I've had for 35 years. Over the years they have been abused by the Airlines, UPS,Fed-X, bounced around in the back of P/U trucks and bucked off 4 - wheelers. Not one scratch on my rifles!! Nuff-said.
