Kowa Genesis binos are top notch. I regret selling mine, For my eyes they were as good as the swaros I have and half the cost.

If you actually read the OP, he says "which brand is in the 4th & 5th spot? Meopta easily fits that bill. Since Meopta was an OEM for Leica and Zeiss at one time, obviously they think so too. Not sure who #5 would be since most everyone is just a repackager/rebrander, etc and doesn't make anything they sell.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I'll add another vote for Meopta. I've not tried enough to offer a #5, though I've had good results with various Minox.

Kowa Genesis
I have 10.5X44 and 8X33. Spectacular optics.

Meopta most certainly should be on the list and even higher up than #4, in my mind.
The higher end Steiner has impressed me WAY more than Swaro (at least the EL and SLC).
Kowa has a good rep that I need to try some day.

I would also vote for Kowa Genisis series binoculars as my #4 then probly Maven or Meopta as #5 its too close to call for my eyes..And dont count out the excellent Nikon Monarch HG series, they are about as good as any Euro bino's.....Hb

Question for those using the Kowa Genisis X44.
I’ve thought about trying the 10.5, but most of the reviews I’ve read mention the ocular being large and uncomfortable. Have you guys noticed it being an issue? Most of the time I have the eye cups screwed all the way in, so not sure it would be an issue.
