Will GreenDot powder do the same as Blue Dot? If it does, does anybody have any loads?

6 steps slower than bullseye and 29 steps faster than blue dot. What do you think?

Google powder burn rate chart and print out as it will tell you all you need to know.

As a Blue Dot user....
This would be akin to me asking if in a rifle, would 4198 give me the same performance as 4831?
If I loaded up Green Dot to Blue Dot load data, or 4198 to 4831... either option would give me a blown up action.. and hopefully doesn't deform my face.. or take my eye sight...
sorry to be that blunt, but that will give you and idea of why it shouldn't be tried.
a cast bullet manual, should be give load data using Green Dot, if you have a bunch and want to use it.
you didn't list what cartridge and/or bullet weight you were wanting to try.

Seafire, there is some load data for green dot reduced loads, but Alliant has changed the formulations on these powders so I wouldn’t really trust 20-30 year old data.

I don't trust ANY data for reduced loads or cast bullet loads...
Reload manuals are just a suggestion, not a bible.
So with any load data new for me, or 30 years old... I start somewhere in the middle and work up, and work down.
I let my actions and my rifle barrel tell me what they prefer, via the accuracy and the condition of the brass and primer pocket after pulling the trigger.

I use Greendot exclusively for 223 reduced loads I use 8 grains. 50grain bullets Same POI as full power at 100yrds, 1/3 the recoil. I started looking at reduced loads so my Wife could shoot coyotes in the morning without the muzzleblast My rifle worked great with first load. Work up your own loads, and DO NOT use any Bluedot loads with Greendot powder. Wont go well. Find an old Lyman manual, 43, 45. I think, they have lots of reduced loads for most rifles
