I recently bought a thumb break holster. It takes a lot of fugging around and muscle to get it snapped. It is way too tight.
Are there any recommendations for a leather conditioner that I can put on the strap while the gun is in the holster, that will help the strap to stretch a little bit?

Shoe strech, or 50 / 50 water and rubbing alcohol.

Have used shaving cream to break in a baseball glove. Don't recall having any color changing issues, but if it did, my boys wouldn't have cared.

TIA Had that problem with my holster from Craft Leather. Followed their break-in instructions and successfully stretched the thumb break strap after soaking it in alcohol.

Dry meathod- put a shim between your gun and the strap then muscle is closed and leave it for awhile.
Wet meathod -cover gun with saran wrap soak holster strap and close it and let it dry.
