Bought a TC 6.5 CM early last spring and have not had the time to put it together or hit the Range as the local Farm Store Chain was cleaning up their inventory after the last years Christmas Holidays.

My ? is ....did I get Light Use throw away light use rifle ....or is this something I can use in the deep swampy Pine Forests of East Texas where I would never ever take one of my purty blue & wood stocked Rifles like my most beautimous Tikka Swede?

What Do Ya'll Say ...just another pirouge paddle? or a hand me down heirloom to one of my son's in good faith when I'm gone ?

What should I alert my GunSmith to look for in problem areas in the TC? ....he did a great job resurrecting my Kentucky built Marlin (Ruger?) SS 270 that the extractor fell apart on and cratered totally with the 1st round fired of fresh WW ammo. Today the Marlin 270 shoots bughole little finger nail sized groups when I am not being eat up with a fresh Shingles attack.

Good to know to not expect much from the TC 6.5 CM.

Is it a TC Venture or a TC Compass, wood or synthetic stock? Give up more details. Also, you should take this to the Big Game Rifle threads.

The tc’s are by all reports accurate as hell, surprisingly reliable, and they feel cheap. Use it as a boat paddle and still expect it to shoot. I cannot unfortunately comment on durability of finish, corrosion resistance, etc. I just know that most who own them are surprised at how accurate they are.
