It's Tammy and my 40th wedding anniversary today. We have escaped the family and are at "our trailer down by the river". It's a peaceful place where we relax, have a few campfires, and let the world pass us by.

I do a lot of writing here, especially during the week when the others are at work. I plant a few veggies. This year it is mostly tomatoes and cukes. The front steps are south facing and we get a lot of sun. Tammy works with the kids who visit the place on weekends.

There are six tomato plants here that are already producing. We have more fruits and veggies growing at home, and have to split our time between the two places. Home is two hours away, Two of my kids, now grown, help out. I have a grandson who likes to empty rain barrels, so we make sure they are emptied in the right places.

We planted in June, a little late, but things caught up quickly.

Next week I will get away by myself and play with this newly repaired rifle. I got the trigger in and everything torqued down. My wife will shoo me out the door so she can go shopping!

Our 40th was very low key. We had a friend in a hospice dying, so we went to a nice restaurant for something to eat and went back to see him. He passed away Saturday morning.

We have been spending a lot of time on the road the past 10 days.
