Its an aluminum mandrel for brass annealing. Any one use it.. any feed back?

The only thing I see is it works like a Hornady but you have to buy one for each caliber.

Not each caliber, just each class -
-308 based cases
-30-06 based cases
-etc.

I bought one of each of the above. Figured they'd be an improvement over the ratchet sockets I'm using now. Haven't yet used them though.

Well no difference then. So buy whatever is cheapest.

Hornady makes something like this?

I have 7 of them I believe. They work great! You need to buy them by the base diameter and the case length.

I cut one down for one of my calibers---don't remember which case. Some mandrels I put a nut (nut and bolt nut) in the bottom of the mandrel to make the case protrude further out of the case.

I use a propane torch and douse in a small pail of water with the lights out in my basement to see the case neck redden better. I use a cordless drill.

P.S. I use the one for an 8x57mm case the most with the nut for .22-250, .243, 6.5 CM etc.

After buying a few and finding they don't make some for my oddball calibers I decided to make my own.

I didnt know about the Hornady version. In any case I bought a couple and will give them a try. It looks better than what i do now.

You would have had to scour the secondhand market for the Hornady.

There’s a reason for that. It gave intermittent results as will these since it has to connect to a drill. Basically it doesn’t work to well. For most of my needs I went to DNA candle method.

Don't know if they will do it for you (I am very nice and good looking) but I called them up and they made one for me and shipping was fast.

Don't remember for what caliber though.

Very Helpful and nice to deal with!!!
