Looking at the Arken specs on the 4-16 ELP. The center dot says 0.04 on the MIL reticle and 0.14 on the MOA are they actually the same size?

Next say those center dots are close to 1/8"(0.125") and they cover 1/8 " at 100 yards as the power turns up or down does it still cover !/8" in relation to the target. Say your holding on a ruler at 100 yards and the dot covers 1/8" on the ruler as you move the power up and down will the dot continue to cover 1/8" on the ruler as the image of the ruler and dot gets larger or smaller in the scope?

A Mil is a Mil is a Mil on a FFP reticle,at all magnification(s) and distance(s). It's a lineal angular measurement. A Mil is 3.6" at 100yds,18" at 500yds and 36" at 1000yds. Hint.

MOA is a poor system in comparison. Hint.....................

The image of the ruler will grow/shrink with the reticle as power is adjusted, so yes, it will continue to cover the same 1/8" you propose, at any magnification.

The math is not hard, it is 0.1375 to take it out a few decimal points, or round it to 0.14.

Or one could just look it up online too.

Perhaps cite how many times a day you think about me and the durations of same,as you extoll your Brokedick Professional Victim status. Hint.

As to the OP being stumped by lineal angular subtension, that is hardly “surprising”. Hint.

Jeff and Shaun thank you. I wanted to know if a first focal plane scope would work for me. I have a couple FFP scopes but they are not your typical FFP in a long range situation. One has tapered crosshairs(Balvar 8) and a Meopta 1.5-6 with a German #1. Both work for hunting coyotes but I limit myself to 300 yards with 22-250s and 22-204s so hold overs are not an issue.

I would like to try a FFP for targets/varmints and wanted to get some ideas of how these work. Everything I real about FFP is all about.ranging at distance..

So thank you again.

Kind of funny and sad how Stick lives in your and Goalie minds. Got to be one of those homo erotic things as he says. Let it go.

Or, I can just respond in kind.

He's the one saying he wasn't on AR-15, I just want him to actually say it very clearly. 😉

I don't think he behaves just fine, but all the constant' stick chasing' gets old as [bleep] and you add nothing here with it, but stroking your ego and thinking you're 'making a difference'. try ignore if you can't handle him.
