Fysa: it looks like montana rifle company is back. This time made in Michigan. Hope they are as generous with LH models as the last regime. https://montanarifleco.com/

I would bet they will trim down their offerings.

I just had a great conversation with one of the folks with MRC. They hope to start shipping RH rifles In a month or so. Left hand rifles will be released next year's. They do plan on providing support to legacy MRC rifles as well. Also in the future they want to do a custom shop, once their lines are established.
I'm excited to see what they come up with

Good to see them back. Not sure I would have wanted to relocate my firearms manufacturing business to Michigan but they didn't call me for advice.

I hope they sell bare actions. I'd buy a 2022 action, Shilen barrel and an McM Edge stock and then find a good gunsmith to put it all together the way I want it.

That would be slick. What caliber? I'm not sure. I have an MRC X2 in .260rem that I've tweaked to make it as I want it. Shortened and threaded barrel to 20", jeweled bolt, replaced bottom metal with PTG lightweight, new butt pad. It's my primary whitetail/pig rifle shooting a DeadAir Nomad 30 titanium can. I hate to be plain jane, but maybe I'd build a nice .308 bolt gun. Or, If I could get a magnum action, something big bore like a .404 Jefferies, .416 Rigby etc.

Put me down for at least three IF they ever build them. The first would be a stainless lefty 375 H&H.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Right before MRC 1999 went under, they offered an "XAR" featherweight rifle @ approx 6 lbs. Not sure if any of the Left Hand MRC 1999 XAR rifles made it out the door before MRC 1999 folded. If MRC 2022 can produce a left hand rifle, featherweight style rifle, at 6 lbs or under, I would purchase one. Especially, if they were to offer a factory option for a McM Hunter Edge stock...

I'll get one if they ever release a lefty, 100%. I've been tempted on more than one occasion to grab a 1999, but always found something better.

The way the lady sounded on the phone she seemed pretty adamant they were. I think a light 308 would be just about perfect for me. I have a 6.5x55 I got from a member on here in the 1999, and I adore it. The highline series the new MRC had look interesting Here are some more pictures https://www.instagram.com/montanarifleco/

I'm in that ballpark now as well. They not only have to prove themselves as a new company but they need to erase all the ghosts of the past. Will look forward to seeing reviews as well as customer service experiences. If it ever looked promising, I could run up there and check it out in person. Less than an hour drive.

I just browsed the link. I was happy to see the receiver will be 416 machined steel and not cast. It should make a smooth solid action. Best of luck to them.
