Good.Shut gun sales, I hope you starve. They say its shoplifting driven, well, that would be down if you had a gun in the store.
America is (supposed to be) a Republic, NOT a democracy. Learn the difference, help end the lie. Fear a government that fears your guns.

I have not been in the local one since they quit selling guns and ammo. Couldn't care less if they go the way of Bud Light.

Recently, on a fishing page I follow, some one mentioned a sale on some fishing related item at Dicks. He pretty much got drug by the respondents.
Glad to see the Target of sporting goods taking a hit.

So there are two around here that i have not been in since they stop selling those evil guns... however, how can shoplifting be the problem when the only way out it through the cash registers... ? atleast this is how the ones here are
The worst thing ever to happen to cops is the personal video recorder... Now people can see the truth

Repeating the pattern of Herman's Sporting Goods.
Growing up, they were the giant sporting goods chain that everyone went to for anything sport related, to include a hunting, fishing, and camping department (where you found the gun counter). I went to work in that department when I started college. The place was wildly popular, and almost always full of customers
Then, in the 1990s, they fell under pressure to remove all guns and ammunition from their stores, and did so. Almost immediately, the places became ghost towns, and within a year or two later, the corporation filed chapter 11.

Look at what Academy stock has done in the few years since it went public. It has more than tripled. Not perfect, but they still deal guns/ammo/reloading supplies/hunting gear.

Dropped the wife off at a nearby store and thought I would stick my head in the Dicks store. They recently converted it back from the Field and Stream concept and it was wall to wall soccer mom merchandise. Not a hunting thing in there that I could see. My comment to my wife was that they are going to go broke if that's their new business model.

Funny how the OP selective picked out Dick's for his post about sales being down.
The same new article about Dick's also stated Macy's and Lowes were also down.
The OP trying to project that the old fudd boycott was actually doing something.

They're nothing but entitled, second generation owners, who have squandered the good business their father created. I used to patronize the original Dick's a lot back in the 70's. It was a great fishing and hunting store. Sad to see what it's become.
