"Supporting Israel is both the morally right & strategically smart thing to do.""This is part of a pattern with Vivek—his foreign policies have a common theme: they make America less safe," Haley wrote. Ramaswamy, who has surged to third place in Republican primary polls, has come under fire from Republican Jewish leaders for saying the United States should end military aid to Israel after 2028. The candidate's position on the issue has shifted throughout the campaign. He recently told the Washington Free Beacon that he supports ending aid after the current funding package expires in 2028, saying that aid will be unnecessary after he successfully brokers peace deals between Israel and the Arab world. Ramaswamy has also faced criticism for suggesting that the government lied about the 9/11 attacks. Haley has positioned herself as a foreign policy hawk, vowing to take aggressive measures against China and cut off aid to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. She has also stated that "we have to win" the war in Ukraine, while fellow GOP hopefuls Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump have called for a negotiated peace.
