I have a couple of questions as relates to a Tikka T3X ultralight in 300WSM.

How long is the Mag box?

Whats the practical low limit for adjusting the trigger?

Is there anything about the current production that really needs to be upgraded or changed out?

The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny. Under this Republic the rewards of industry belong to those who earn them. Coolidge

2.905" should be the WSM mag max length.

Back the trigger screw out all the way. Can also replace the spring to get even lower. 2-2.5# is easy to get if wanted.

I cut about 1.5 coils off the trigger spring and reinstall. I tighten the screw in and make sure it is safe, no slam fires, fire from bumps/drops and it’s good. My ctr is around 1.5lbs and my t3x lite is 2lbs chopping the spring.

When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

Ken hit the nail on the head with his last statement. "Nothing needs to be upgraded, but lots of endless options".. Well said.

The mag box is what it is. You could always get a long action bolt stop and use a 300 win mag magazine to allow for a 3.4" OAL. The factory magazine may be a detriment when wanting to load up close to the lands. I haven't done much with my rifle, as I have a friend that is wanting to buy it. Tested for accuracy with a few different loads and it does well enough for a 7.2 pound "all up" rifle:

That's about what I'd expect out of a 7 pound all up Tikka^^^^^.

It's a fairly lightweight magnum rifle, not a benchrest rifle. The cool thing is you can upgrade it how you wish.

You can go crazy with aftermarket parts like aluminum bottom metal and bolt handles that are very easy to change out. Mountain Tactical makes some great aftermarket parts for these Tikka's. Or you could just leave it bone stock. The choices are unlimited.

As for reducing the pull weight on the triggers. There are some tricks I know of that will get the trigger down to 1.5 pounds safely and reliably. Not posting that here though. If you want, you can buy a lighter spring.
