There has been much to do on our new property. We cleared a lot of the trees out to make room for a garden space and chicken coop and a large parking/firewood storage pad. This left us with a lot of 100" logs that we needed to convert into fire wood since that how we heat the place. I found a local with a processor so I rented him and his machine.

I got to spend 4 days driving around on my new tractor, delivering logs to be cut and spit. His machine could only take logs up to 20" in diameter so the larger ones were set aside. This provided us with a few years worth of heat and wood to cook maple syrup.

The drive up to Wind Ridge is steep. The last 100 yards of the 1/4 mile long driveway is prone to erosion during heavy rains so we made a plan to repair it and then cover it with reclaimed blacktop. I bought a front mounted snow blower for the new tractor. Last year we got a total of 138 inches of snow. I ran out of places to push it.

The new garden space has been producing a real bounty. What was once wooded land is now our food supply.

I bought 2 harvest right freeze driers but we have also been canning and freezing a lot of foods.

Our oldest Grand daughter spent a week with us. We dont have TV (I quit watching TV 15 years ago) It turns out, there was enough stuff to keep her busy that she didnt miss the idiot box.

We hope to break ground for the new headquarters for my bowhunting products company in about a week. Its hard to find concrete guys up here that are not already booked solid.

in the past, the old me (or rather younger me since I just started my 60th trip around the sun last week) would have had a long list of destination bow hunts on my schedule for the fall at various locations on the globe. This year, Ive done zero planning for any traveling bowhunting adventures. I bought my bow License for WI and got a couple doe tags, Turkey and small game lic and thats about it. Until I have all the things on the homestead finished I will remain a homebody. I thought I would miss flying and driving about to poke things with an arrow to do field testing for this piece of gear or that but Im content with the garden and firewood and planning the chicken coop and will slip out as time allows with my bow to get a couple deer in the freezer. First frost is only about a month away. Lots to do to prepare for 7 months of winter. Instead of planning a traveling bow hunt, Im planning out were to plant the garlic this October so I can harvest it the following July.

The deer here are plentiful. (too many for my tastes) I will let the air out of a few does. Thus far, the buck population ive seen has been yearlings.

Without hammering on it too hard, what’s your average daily caloric intake? Any carbs ?

Do you own a Kimber rifle? Where does it balance ? Also, what’s the trigger pull to the sixteenth of an ounce?

Be honest now, have you ever owned or reloaded for a 6.5 Creedmoor? What color electrical tape did you use on this equipment assuming you answered “Yes” ? See below

a. Blue
b. Yellow
c.Red
d. White
e. None of the above

Ron Kulis.

Do a DuckDuckGo search.

Hee was here as DIYguy and a few other sockpuppets, and blathered bullshît. The usual sleuths popped him.

You’ve been warned.

Personally... IDGAF if the OP is a poacher or not (fugging .GOV laws about growing a tomato, catching a fish, or shooting meat... are just that... .GOV compliance with some bullchit .GOV desk jockey "Ologist" vision of mecca.).

In the past, some of you guys have pontificated that the OP is a bullchitter... That is far more interesting to settle...

The pics demonstrate actual labor... that, I can respect.

As for the rest of it... I need some help... I ain't tracking on the relevance of 2Pac (re: Off Grid Living).

Thanks
