Anyone looked at these? I'm told even the mags are different than the normal 10/22 mags. I'm interested in one but they are pretty pricey. anyone have insight to them?

They’re pricey because they are the CSC model, with receiver machined from a billet, not cast, and various other real improvements, that you can look up yourself. The rifle is a mirror-image of the RH model, so naturally the magazines are as well. Consider how much futzing around, with possible bad results, would be required to redesign the action so cheapskates could save a few bucks on mags, and the expense of new molds for casting LH versions of the standard models. I suspect that the CNC instructions for making RH CSC are relatively easy to convert for LH.

I have a RH model, and it’s worth every penny of the $700 I paid. If you price out a build or custom one with equal features as I did, you’ll see where the money goes.

The LH 10-22 does use LH only magazines.

My concerns would be the inability to use an aftermarket trigger and I'm not sure if anyone makes a barrel with the extractor cut for LH ejection. Never been overly impressed with the results I've had with Ruger's 10-22 barrels.

Pappy I believe it's Ruger's BX trigger... How do you like it? And how does it shoot at 50 yards?

Mine shoots well with ammo it likes, but the chamber isn’t suited for Stingers and such. Don’t know about the barrel or trigger compatibility, as I’m happy with both.

Eley Club is what I’m shooting mostly, and 1/2” is doable.

The integral rail is a major improvement over screwing a base to a cast receiver.

Coupla weeks back I took mine to the nearby range, sat down and started dinging a 6” plate at 200 yards. Took a few shots to figure the drop, and it wasn’t what the chart said it would be, but after that it just me against the wind. The SWFA 6x worked both dialing and holding over, and I switched back and forth a couple of times without issue.

Hard to hear the tiny dings, even with the electronic muffs, and Club didn’t move that plate much. More Xs might have been handy to spot that, but there were plenty for aiming.
