Any of you had any experience with factory second sierra 1365’s?
Are they just cosmetic imperfections and how did they shoot?
The price is right but if they don’t shoot well it’s not worth buying them for me.
Thank you in advance.
Ben.

It's usually just a slight nib on the tip that's easily removed or slight discoloration from the wash.
We used to run down there and buy em by the thousand or more. No issues.

I know it's not what you asked about but bewary of the plastic tipped blems ... the times that I've looked at them there were lots with no tips or tips inserted backwards.

Take an empty plastic bullet box or something like that, toss in 15-20 bullets, shake like hell for 10 seconds or so and that will remove the tiny lead tip. If it's just discoloration then load em up and shoot away.

Sierra blems require a little sorting, but are well worth the money IMHO. The plastic tipped ones will have more rejects, I just use them for practice. Usually the person selling them at the Sedalia outlet will warn you that about them and then throw in a few extra.
The soft points will have a very few real problem children and quite a few with the little nibs that just pop right off. I've used a bunch of 1365's and 1395's.
The hollow points seem to be almost always good.
I've killed quite a few deer and one antelope with various Sierra blems although never past 150 or so yards.

When using the blems, be careful on checking diameter as well. The bullets are scooped out of a large barrels and sold by the pound. Some fall (when scooped) in with other diameters. I've had a few that were a different diameter.

Well, I’ve got 3500 on the way. Hope they shoot well!
