If one were to find a supposed near new specimen, would the bore exhibit bluing or would the presence of bluing in the bore on a l960 rifle indicate a reblue?
Thanks
Phil

I would say the barrels on mine are blued inside. I never thought about it before. The only one in my collection that is white is a stainless barrel

Blued in the chamber would be a reblue as they finish reamed the barrels after assembly. I can't say that I ever saw a blued bore on a pre 64 but don't know for sure.
