Hi guys I have a Browning a bolt 12ga slug I'm thinking about selling it and would like some input on how the strong the market is ? I bought this gun new it has been shot about 10 times. I put 1" leupold bases and scope rings . This gun has the black synthetic that had the dura coat finish it became very sticky. I contacted Browning and this is a very common problem they offered to reapply finish but said it would be a 6 month wait no way. I stripped finish and had a auto detailing shop apply a clear matte finished it looks great . Gun has never been hunted with only taken to range to sight in scope. Any thoughts on value would be appreciated.
Thanks

Those were good guns and are fairly desirable as shooters. They fetch decent prices. Pictures would help. But if the stock IS clean and the rest of the gun in decent shape, you should realistically be able to get $900-$1000, perhaps a bit more.

Rifled barrel? Smooth bore barrel with rifled tube? Sights? No sights? When I deer hunted in IL had one of these and used slugs that I cast and loaded, very accurate slug guns.

Thanks 10 glocks gun is like new . I bought it with intention on taking it to Illinois but family sickness got in way.

Hi Dean I had forgot that some of the guns were smooth bore with rifled tube . This gun has rifled barrel with iron sights . I have box and paperwork.

I will try to post pictures
Thanks

These are near and dear to me (own several in different variations from first model and second model). Prices fluctuate wildly on these. I saw 3 sell recently on GB for just over $700 but right before season they will go for $1,500ish. In Illinois they brought huge prices, but now with straight wall rifles being legal, I have seen the local market drop again. These guns will flat out shoot. It is not a stretch to cleanly kill deer with the right sabot/scope/shooter combo at 200 yards. That is insane for old fashion slug hunters to comprehend, but these guns can do it. My main hunter will shoot 2 inch groups at 100 yards and drops 6 inches at 200.

Best of luck!

Very nice guns. But I do think the straight wall regulations change is gonna eventually limit their value. I sold my Savage 220 as soon as the law passed in Illinois.

They shoot well and are a quality gun, but buying a 5 to 6 hundred dollar .350 legend with ammo under 30 bucks a box is a no brainer.

I have seen more for sale on GunBroker the last 2 years than I did over the last 20 years.

If you use them and you want to keep them, do so. But I think the demand will continue to lessen.
