Doug,Neal and the guys are a pleasure to deal with . They simply will give you a dynamite price on just about any optics they handle .

I won’t buy any optic until I’ve checked with Cameraland first! I’ve had nothing but stellar customer service, fast shipping, great pricing and total satisfaction from Cameraland.

They are what businesses USED to be like and are currently what all businesses should strive to be like.

When you buy an optic from CL, you don’t just get the product. You get Doug in your corner which is about as reassuring as one can get when purchasing an expensive piece of glass online. He has shown time after time, on this forum and others, his willingness to help customers after the sale. The best product in the world is crap, if it isn't backed by customer service when you need it..
Too many businesses don't understand that fact.

a lesser quality product, but is backed by good service, is much better than a high quality product backed with NO service.

Simple concepts, but so many businesses just don't get it...

Q.How much or what are your guys profit margins?

Difficult to quantify.
When figuring this should I include:
Rent? Payroll? Workman's Comp Ins? Liability Ins? Health Ins? General Ins? Shipping? Utilities? Phone? General Maintenance? Trash Removal? Returns that get sold below cost as open box? Plus all the other day to day expenses?
I question why I stayed in retail vs getting a job with a pension, health insurance and a stress free future?

So $ (pricing) does matter.
I’m not mad or anything
I run a small business, we are in it to make $… so it always come down to bottom line.

If I was in it strictly for the money I wouldn't be in it There are plenty of other things I could be doing that are less demanding, fewer hours and less stressful for more $$$. I was brought up in this business, love what I do, and enjoy the majority of the people I have had the pleasure to work with over the years.

The level of customer service I’ve experienced with Cameraland is largely nonexistent elsewhere in the retail world! Keep up the good work Doug and crew.

Hard for me to imagine those feelings for retail. (Putting up with people)
But I fully understand that sentiment.

Logging and farming are my heritage. Life and economics made thriving in them
unlikely. So I've followed a mercenary path. Not entirely happily.

Those who are entirely greed focused and totally mercenary annoy.
Glad $$$ are not the entire focus of my life.

Things posted on the site about Cameraland are very telling.
About the business, and those who run it.

When you call the number you get Doug or Neal. Both are great with customer service and make the sale right there without some " let me check with the manager" etc. I always check their prices online before looking anywhere else. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a bad review here on the fire. The fire can be ruthless so.....

The guys at cameraland are top notch. It’s nice getting to speak with an actual human. Good luck getting any help or advice with a foreigner from Amazon
