LOL, remember my buddy scaring the chit out of people when Halloween came out, He got a manikin head put on top of his head then put on a black trench coat and walked up alongside cars peering in the windows. LOL, we got kicked out. they would let us bring kegs of beer in, we'd put them in trash cans filled with ice in the back of the truck and kick back in lawn chairs, good times.

We used to ho to the spud drive in near Driggs idaho. They actually had pretty good burgers there.

Last time I went I couldn't figure out how to get all the lights off on my 2019 ram I had then. If the ignition was on at all several lights were on. Needed it on to hear the show over the radio.

Last drive in i went to was the one in Lake George N.Y. saw JAWS.
I don't know when it closed, but it's a water slide park now. I haven't seen one in years.

Started out when I was a toddler in pajamas in the back seat while my parents were in the front of our 52 Buick.
The last time I was in as drive in was 1969. She and I were both 17 in my 58 chevy.

I had a 55 Chevy station wagon with a mattress in the back in HS, we'd back into a space open the back window, get in the back and maybe watch the show.

Buddy lived across the street from a drive in in the 70s, Someone had cut the chain link fence we'd take folding chairs, and watch the movie free.

We still have a drive in here. I’ve always enjoyed going.

When I was a kid, a sweet old lady known to everyone in the county as “Ma Haney” tan it. It was the best place around to eat. She has long since passed, but another local couple took it over. The food is still pretty good.

There were several nearby when I was young. Since money was tight, I can only remember going a couple times as a kid. Mama would pop a bag full of popcorn and bring along jars of water for all of us. The drive ins were still there in the 70s when I was dating and used to go there a lot. Now I think there is only 1 drive in left and it’s only open a few times during the summer.
Sometimes when I’m out somewhere and smell popcorn or grilled cheeseburgers with onions it reminds me of the old drive in smells. I think we still have an old Coca Cola glass in the cabinet that they used to give you when you bought a large Coke.

Last one I went to was in or near Yuma, AZ in the 70's when we were deployed to MCAS. A bunch of us piled into a pickup truck. I had no idea how cold it gets in a desert at night. I didn't bring a jacket.
