Rentzschke engraved 99F's with consecutive serial #'s. Mine is 928916. Who woulda also thought 928917 just sold on Gunbroker for $3104, despite having the buttstock squared off and an ugly red recoil pad, plus plain 99F wood compared to mine with nicely figured wood.

My thought was get it and the locate a nice doner 99F at any price and swap the wood.
It seems like the Rentzschke engraved receivers were done at about the same time.
They may or may not have been paired with deluxe or standard wood.
So swapping wood was a non-issue for me.
But that was just a thought...

Me too. It is the same rifle. It even has the identical scratches on the receiver. I think there is a crook in there somewhere. The Wording on Texas gunbrokers is the same as the gunbroker add.

Nevermind the scratches, the SERIAL number is the same. It is NOT Texas Gunbroker, It is Texasguntrader. This is why I do NOT get involved in an auction unless I KNOW the seller. I have gotten VERY pickey about what I buy and I don't care WHO engraved THAT rifle. With the pad and studs I wouldn't put that one in any safe I own.

I've noticed that scammers tend to put prices on things that are too good to be true. That rifle is probably worth $1500-1800.
