I just bought a great little 410 over/under for my 9 and 7 yr old daughters from Ronwethington on here (hell of a great guy to talk with and do business with).

I’m looking for some 410 steel shot (any shot size) for the upcoming waterfowl season and it’s proving to be tough to find. A couple boxes would hold them over for the season. Also could use some upland 6 shot for blue and ruff grouse next month. 2 1/2 or 3 inch shells will work.

Best of luck

You should try ammoseek. There’s some out there, but hunting ammo is really spendy, $20-$27 a box and more. Target loads come and go at about $16–$18. I spent over $200 for a case of Federal Top Gun last year because I like shooting clays occasionally with my little Henry, but those are gone.

I have all the hunting, slug, buckshot and TSS loads I’ll probably ever need now. Only need more for clays. I’m not certain how steel would work for waterfowl since typically larger sizes are required for effectivness. TSS is the answer, but oh my, the prices for that!

Good luck.

Did you check the manufacturer sites to see what they make? Some of the small custom loaders may offer it, or bismuth.

I would give a hard look to either bismuth or TSS, I’m not sure what your budget is. I would not risk steel performance with young ones behind the gun.

Bud's Gunshop has some .410 3" #7 TSS advertised for $6.30 rd plus shipping. Better be good shots to shoot ducks on the fly for that price.

Gunbroker. You can watch Dunns and get lead shot and maybe steel if you watch close. Mack’s prairie wings is a spot to watch as well. Look at Rogers sporting goods too.

I have a couple of boxes of steel shot I can spare. I will check tomorrow and let you know what I have.
