Anybody have one? I've been itching for a new large window RD for a while and the Holosun comp is like $200 less than the SRO.

The reticle options seem weird, a 2MOA dot with different circle options. I'd rather have a 5 or 6 MOA dot but I read some folks get along fine with the 2MOA dot with 8MOA circle.

I think Mr 'flave had issue with a Holosun a while back, how did that turn out? My only experience with RD sights has been Trijicon RMR and those have just worked.

I have a couple Holosuns.

Recently I had one that the setting that controls the brightness would not adjust. It was always at max brightness, which makes shooting precisely very difficult. I emailed Holosun. It took a week or so for a reply, but they did reply, and I filled out a return tag and shipped my improperly functioning one back to their stateside location.

About 10 days or so later I received a package with an RDO in it. I am not sure if it is the same one or not. I think it might be but am not sure. There was no paperwork in the box stating what work was performed. Overall, I cannot complain, as they fixed the problem, and I had the sight back in a reasonable time frame.

For that price I'd find a Trijicon.

The SROs and RMRs will only get cheaper on the used market.

Thanks for the replies, I found the HS507COMP at $360, I'll give it a try at that price.

If its not what I want I'll give it to my nephew, he's just getting started in the pistol games.

He will need spares, that young man can kill an anvil with a corn cob.

I did find some SRO's around $500. The gun I'm wanting to use might not play well with that front facing overhang. I'll find out if the Holosun don't work out.

If it makes you feel any better I ordered another Holosun 510 last night.

Don't tell Bluedreaux.

Got the plate and the 407 comp. Took a hot minute to mount, the AOS plates SA used on the Prodigy suck, had to shorten the optic mount screws. Maybe I'll get a chance to shoot it next week.

Here it is beside a RMR.

On Friday I compared one side by side to with an SRO. The SRO is noticeably taller but not as wide.
