This subject has been beaten to death and related threads should be found. My short version: If the guide is also the outfitter, like in a one man operation, a small token is fine. If there is a cook who feeds you or a packer who helps get your moose out, tip them. If your guide is not the outfitter, but an employee instead, then 10% or so of the total hunt cost is reasonable. Exact dollar figures will depend on the cost of the hunt. I carry $50's and $100's as tip money. I like to give tips directly to the person for whom they are intended. It's also OK to ask the outfitter what is customary. Opinions vary greatly on this topic Especially among cheap SOBs.
