I’ll probably regret this but am going to part with this gorgeous 5 digit Walnut/SS Winchester Model 70 Classic in 270 Win. The rifle is in 99% condition and needs to be freed from my safe. I have shot 1/2 a box through it and it was right at MOA with Federal blue box 130 SP’s. For those that will as ask it is G63xxx. The only reason I’m cutting this one loose is that I have a like rifle in 270 WSM in a Bansner I finished and enough of the ammo it likes to never need to use anything else in .277. The gun comes with Burris steel slotted bases. I do not have the box and not looking for any trades. Will add more pics once Post Images stops having trouble loading multiples. $1125 shipped to your FFL from a non-FFL in a hard case. Check or MO preferred.

You know the history of this rifle? Ie bought new?
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

If it’s a sporter does that mean it has a 24” barrel? Muzzle break?

I bought it locally last year from an older gentleman that was the original owner. If I’m recalling my stories straight he’d purchased it when new as he thought his pre-64 was shot out. He scoped it briefly to prep for deer season. In the meantime his gunsmith did a deep cleaning on his old .270 and aside from a butload of barrel fouling that needed to come out it was in good shape. He went back to using old faithful and just decided he’d be able to play out the string with the OG making this one expendable. It hadn’t had mounts on it for the last 15 years or so when I got it. I’m not sure why but I seem to think I need a 270 every few years. I buy them and then don’t use them and ultimately sell them. Have had this happen with 2 prior Model 70’s, a Tikka and a Sako - all great rifles - I just don’t need one since I have my pet 270 WSM that gets used 95% of the time.

If it’s a sporter does that mean it has a 24” barrel? Muzzle break? It means it has a Sporters barrel contour which is different than the Featherweight and yes, it should have a 24" barrel. No on the muzzle brake. Free bump for a nice rifle.

Was looking through my target clips and found the only group I may have ever shot with this gun - 1.05” with Federal blue box 130 SP’s that I had on hand. She should be a shooter if you find a load it likes.

Had a chance to meet Shortfinger when we completed this transaction FTF. He’s a good guy and I’d gladly horse trade with him in the future.

It was a pleasure meeting with Strosfan. I appreciate the honest and smooth transaction and would certain do business with him again.
