I just got a "blem" Mountain Tactical magazine for my T3X 6.5 CM. If won't lock in. The factory plastic one does. I called MT and they said it was a torque issue with action screws. I checked and made sure they were at 45 inch pounds where the guy from MT said to set them. Still no go. I told him it was bedded and he said you should never bed a Tikka or the MT mag will likely not fit due to a 3 degree incline that needs to be accounted for when bedding. He said bedding should be fixed to make mag fit.
I told him I'm not real interested in messing with bedding a month before hunting season on a rifle that shoots fantastic for a $40 after-market mag. He didn't seem real interested in taking the mag back, but he would talk to the "boss"
Anybody heard about this 3 degree incline for after market alum mags or have trouble with after-market mags fitting?

My T3x is bedded and my Mountain Tactical mags work. They require a little more force to lock in than the plastic ones but they work just fine.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

My 5 round mag from M.T. locks in, but it drops down at the back after every shot. Next cartridge won't feed until you hit the bottom of the mag. It is a gen 1 mag and I let them know that I had a problem, but they didn't seemed concerned or willing to trade for a magazine that works.

If they won’t take it back just file on the front section of the magazine where the magazine latch engages until it fits correctly. Shouldn’t take much time at all and would be simple to do.

What Stick said. Either stick with the factory plastic and the limitations thereof, or rock the CTR mags if short action.
I have four tikkas and three are CTR fed.
