Speer 125 TNTs with 46 gr of IMR 4895 is a good, relatively low recoil, receiver sight load in my 03A3 for 100 yard target shooting. Best I can figure muzzle velocity is a little under 2700 fps based on an internet ballistics chart. I'm not shooting targets past 100 due to eyesight but according to this chart, zeroed at 100 it would be 4.5" low at 200 and 15.5 low at 300. I got really good groups with it at 100. Another positive is that based on today's prices on most other commercial name brand bullets TNTs aren't all that expensive.

you should try 130gr Speer HP bullets. i use them in a TC Contender in 30 Herrett with a 10" barrel for deer. i was looking at 125gr Nosler BT and the 125gr Hornady SST, but the price of those bullets is astronomically high. my dad (RIP) killed deer with a 14" Conterder barrel in 7x30 Waters with 115gr Speer HP and IMR4895. i could show you a fired bullet, but it always had an exit wound.

I've got a big time supply of 125 TNTs also (30 cal) and an overabundance of 748. the record I don't know I found a load that my M1A likes quite well. been shooting quite a bit of this combination it shoots pretty good and is quite fun and a lower recoil..

Thanks for the info on the 130 gr hp Speers. Midway's got them at a reduced price right now, thought I'd give them a try. $21.99 a hundred. There were over a hundred 5 star reviews on them with no negative reviews.
