It's a cross between the rockies & the ice field parkway.

Milford Sound (fjords) are amazing, the people are friendly & polite.

Great farm to table food, too !

How long is the bloom on those shores? Some places only look their best for a day or two. Would be awesome to see in person.

It is the only lake that I know of that when you walk the sand runs out way from you.

Actually, I have. It's an interesting puddle, but it did not inspire. The sunset I saw was without clouds, maybe that's part of the best view, dunno.

Lake Tekapo is large rainbow and brown trout and Milford Sound is salt water, so mainly blue cod, snapper etc.
