So I won a 6" Python from a local Fire Department raffle. I can take the gun, or store credit. I don't "need" it, but I don't have a Python. Have 6" and 4" M19's, 686 with optics, Redhawk .357,with optics and GP100 Match Champion for my .357 stockpile. Those who have or have shot the new Python, is it nice enough to justify adding another to the pile? I use the 2 Rugers more than the rest as the Redhawk is one of my designated Doe Getters and the GP100 is my everyday "back-up" when rifle hunting.

My son and I have one each. Both of ours have been excellent. But it sounds like you have the .357 covered. I’d grab something different. Maybe a .44 Redhawk or older pre lock Model 29.

It’s a very nice gun & you’d be proud of it.

I’d suppose it just depends if there’s something else the shop has or could get that you want more...

Get the store credit, then buy what you'd like to have.

I would take the store credit and buy something useful to me. You have enough .357s that the Python would likely end up a safe queen.

This is your excuse to get rid of all the inferior .357s you have had up until now, and keep the real deal.

Try to get sn Anaconda or King Cobra .22 10 shot Match. The Python is a supurb revolver but you seem to have caliber .357 pretty well covered in quality hardware.

Take the Colt and get rid of some of the ones you have.

Keep the handguns you have and add that Python. Congratulations.
