They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

If you want a lifetime experience, take the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Calgary. You stay one night in the plushest hotel on Lake Louise, and another in Banff - with premium view rooms at both. Jaw-drop views almost the whole way, plus gourmet meals and drinks. We did that trip a couple years ago and are taking the similar trip from Moab, Utah to Denver later this month, hopefully during fall foliage turn. Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
