Anyone eat Kimchi?
I haven't tried it, but do like sauerkraut.
Sounds like a spicier version of 'kraut ?
Thanks for any feedback!

The limited sampling I had eaten is much like much spicer kraut.
LOVE it though!

FYI--You can probably find a bunch of it at a Korean grocery store.

The Korean's Make Kimchi And bury it in a clay pot to ferment for a few weeks, then dig it up and eat it, their breath will knock you down and the Kimchi will make your eyes water, I couldn't back up to it. Good Luck --Rio7

Wealmost always have a jar in the fridge. Usually can get different levels of heat. Also have herring. 😁

I guess the real stuff has some fermented sardines or similar. I used to get the homemade stuff at an Asian food store, and it seemed to have more of a green bok choi cabbage. I get the stuff now from grocery and it does not have the same fizz. I sometimes add sauerkraut to the end of the jar, and it takes up the flavor well.

Brought home my first jar of Kimchi yesterday.
GOOD stuff! I like it better than 'Kraut!
Got an Asian store in town. Will check there next.

We used to go to a Korean buffet in South Tacoma they would have a half-dozen Kimchis out at a time. I love to eat there.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Costco sells a nice container of Kimchi. It is located in the coolers next to the cheese dips and such. Runs about $8. Awesome stuff
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I ate it at breakfast and lunch daily when I was working in Samsung's shipyard at their cafeteria. My favorite was made from radishes.

Love me some Kimchi! They make all different types of Kimchi and use it like a side dish, my wife prefers the cucumber Kimchi whereas I prefer the traditional cabbage Kimchi.
I get mine from a local Korean lady that makes it, I have made my own before, but it simply doesn't compare!

Great stuff. If you live close to an H Mart they have a whole section devoted to all types of kimchi.
Even our local Walmart sells kimchi.
I much prefer the kimchi I can buy at H Mart and any of the Asian markets in the Atlanta area.
An hour away in LaGrange, GA where the Kia plant is are several of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. They have an amazing array of different kimchi.

Had a friend over in Korea for about a year. Her sister picked her up in L.A. and b!tched about her smell for the whole 3 hour ride home.
