As the title says, he would like to know the value of this revolver. I saw it and it looks great very nice leather with it. Any help would be appreciated.

WyoCoyoteHunter: If your "looks great" description means "minty" or 98% then I would surmise $500.00+ for it. The 2" versions are, IME, a bit rarer than the 4" tapered or even the thick barreled model 64's. Is said revolver for sale? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Just checked gunbroker for completed and current auctions. People are asking anywhere from mid-$500 range up to $1300 for 2" 64's of various dash numbers but not a lot of interest in them. One NY-1 has a starting bid of $2999 but that's a special case. The only one in the last 30 days that actually sold went for about $540 and it had no box, Pachmayr grips and lots of wear on one side. Adding shipping, tax and FFL fee takes it over $600 so that's what the buyer was willing to pay for a lesser condition specimen. Another one in 90-95% condition with original two piece box and all paperwork is currently at $406 with 6 days to go, that might be one to watch to see where it ends up. Current auctions, Model 64 2" barrelIt's really hard to say without seeing it and knowing if you want to buy it or just advise your friend on what to ask for it. Even one or two years ago asking and getting $900 wouldn't be out of line but the market is tight these days for any gun. Again, sight unseen - but if it's in really great shape and I were the seller I'd ask $800 just to see if there were any bites, then wouldn't take less than about $675 and that's only if it sat unsold for a long while.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Agreed. That pattern is highly sought after.
