Just sold on gunbroker. Uncheckered. Sold for $2147, plus tax/shipping.. probably $2300'ish total. Somebody plugged a hard to fill hole in their collection. The serial number is right in the range of a couple other uncheckered 22HP EG's we've seen (including mine). Very early EG's. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1005646267

Shortly after I jpined this august group, I passed up a near mint checkered EG in 22HP at a local gun show. Asking was 1200, I has the cash in my pocket, seller would not come down a nickel, so as a point of honor I passed. Posted here about it when I got home. Several strongly suggested I go back. This was Saturday, he was gone on Sunday. Couldn't track him down. Found out he had taken it Tulsa, and sold it to a gent many of you know, whose name I can't recall. He was at the next Fest, and told me he had sold it for 5K. Whole way home from northern Wisconsin to Illinois I had shift in my seat due to severe self inflicted butt kicking!

The checkered EG's in 22HP are much harder to find..
Yeah, passing one up would be a serious regret.

Even though the rifle looks pretty gray that was a darn good price. Rory do you have a serial # for my uncheckered 22 HP EG? It's about 300 #'s lower than the subject rifle?

I don't have a list for these. Mine is about 200 higher than this, so there was a batch done.
Mine lettered as shipped in January 1936 to ZCMI Wholesale Hardware Company, which was a Utah department store/catalog sales.

In my data: 1935 3ea 1936 2ea 1937 1ea 1938 1ea 1939 3ea first and only year for checkered stocks. No other HPs after 1939 Last HP in 1939 is a checkered F... now you want to talk rare... It was Ralph that bought the EG HP in Tulsa. Bought it first thing Friday morning and was all weekend. Noticed a note in my data that 2009 an EG HP with a replaced stock and D&T'd sold for $1200.
