I should go over to Hawaii and fill up. Filled the Jeep today, 5.69 for 87 grade at Shell, 5.79 at Chevron, 5.65 at Raghead Speedway. California is truly a socialist utopia.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Jim; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope that you and your wonderful family are well on this first Wednesday of September. One of the really and truly annoying things about fuel prices in southern BC and likely most of BC for that matter is how much they'll vary. For instance here the two places in the little unincorporated spot I live closest to - Okanagan Falls - have a price of $172.9/liter and $177.9/liter. If however you drive south one town south its a cent more per for a high, then two towns down in Osoyoos the high is $179.9/liter. Headed north we are about the same in Summerland as here, but Kelowna is $162.9/liter - not that we can currently drive there because there's a mountain falling onto the main highway - again.... For the math lovers here, the Canadian loonie/peso is $1.36 CDN for $1 US today. There are 3.78541 liters in 1 US gallon. If and please all reading feel free to double check my cyphering, but if it's correct that'd be $6.5109 CDN per US gallon, but that'd make $4.77 USD/US gal for at the cheaper place in town. I think.... All the best. Dwayne PS. Diesel is $1.84/liter in town today - ugh.

I was in California yesterday. Saw regular for $6.399 and premium for $6.749. Diesel was $7.299. I didn't buy at that station. In Ca. the most I paid was $5.699.... cheapest was $5.499. In Nv. I paid $5.999, but it was out in the middle of nowhere. We're driving the back roads and not the interstate. When I get to 1/2 a tank, I look for a place to fill up.

Over $5 here in Oregon. We need a refinery, but the greenies will never stand for such. . It has been my experience fuel is always higher in a refinery town than a few miles away. A few days ago in Palmer, AK fuel prices jumped 5 cents a gallon in the two hours it took for us to lunch and short nap, at the station the small park was next to. A block away, the price was 10 cents higher the station on the main drag. Running about $4.50 /gal average for diesel here. Gas is 10-20 cents or so higher. We are usually pretty compatible with Hawaii prices.

No Rancherias/Rez stations in your hood? $4.69 or $4.79 at ours here. Same/same as your area for the commercial places in town. Chevron might be a dime or so higher.
