Someone posted last year about a place in New Mexico where he paid to shoot a cow elk. The hunt included lodging and meals for 5 days. The price was very reasonable, 3 to 4K. Was unable to find the exact thread. Appreciate anyone’s help.

Sounds like the hunt I went on. Going back this December. Fishtail ranch in Chama NM.

Not New Mexico, but Jim Freeburn in Wyoming was booking cow elk a week or two ago for a good bit less than 3-4 thousand. Jim owns Triple Creek Outfitters and he's a great guy. May give him a look.
