Sitting in camp eating lunch and two large cows stepped out plain as day. Waited a couple of minutes as only had one permit. 20' pack was just what the doc ordered. Congrats! From a boat (presumably not under power and drifting), at a possibly moving moose, at more than point blank range?? Double lunging is good. The only true cost of having a dog is its death.
