I have been treating my fuel and stored engines with Sta-Bill for years.

Last spring three of my 4 outboards were fuqked, smelled like varnish and had to pull the carbs and clean. Same with my home back-up generator that runs off and on all winter.

Been told to schit can the Sta-Bil and switch to SeaFoam.

Just got done treating everything with SeaFoam cept my 75 hp Merc, doing that next week when I pull it out of the lake.

Anyone else been having issues with Sta-Bil lately?

Is SeaFoam the ticket.

Never an issue with Stabil - used it on lawnmowers, 3 different Harleys and a snowblower. Never tried SeaFoam - cuz, why as I've not had issue, so I can't comment on that.

Star-Tron is another one out there that's supposed to be better than Stabil.

I like the Gumout that comes in the Seafoam-looking can. Does the same as Seafoam PLUS it contains PEA (techron), which will actually clean fuel injector deposits, if you happen to put it in a fuel-injected vehicle (and it’s same price or cheaper than Seafoam).

I use sta-bil every late fall and have not had any issues that you have had. I have only used sea foam to clean varnish from carbs.

I have been using Seafoam in my small engines for years.
My 4 wheeler stays at hunt camp year round, little run time in summer.
Generator is stored with fuel year round. Never a problem with any of them.

They make different types of Stabil for ethanol and non ethanol gas.

Never any issues with either.

Did you run the engines for a while after adding the treatment and get the treated gas up in the carbs??

Sta-Bil Storage, not the regular.

Sometimes have SeaFoam around and add that too.

Reg gas and so far never a problem with the generator. Electric mower, so no issues there. Weed eaters get run dry.

I've used both with no issues. Been using Techron Marine in 2 stroke outboards, carb and DFI, lawn mowers, and snowblowers for last 5-8 years. Everything is still running.

I have also used Sta-Bil for years without issue but I have had nothing but problems the last three years.

I think they forgot the recipe.

A friend was a mechanic for the Tulsa school system. He said all they used was SeaFoam. I use the injector cleaner a couple times a year in my Toyota. Can't tell much difference but figure it is working.
