Weaver was one of the last of the big companies to offer the Duplex. Their version of the reticle called the "Dual- X" did not appear until 1968, I believe.

"Duplex" is copyrighted by Leupold, which is why no other scope company uses that term. Though they use all sorts of names that dance around it, usually including "plex" somewhere....
The Duplex was actually an Americanized copy of European reticles that had already been used for a long time....
